My favorite thing my kids do

I have been thinking about this a lot lately. No clue why, but anyways! I love that my kids love it when I sing to thiem. I love the smile on their faces when you break into horsee horsee on your way (dakota's favorite) or twinkle twinkle little star ( Oakley's favorite). If none of you have experienced it, it is the coolest thing in the whole world. I also love when Oakley is in the car and I am going to get him out and he sees me and just grins from ear to ear. I love it when they SMILE! They get it from their dad for sure because he is the type of guy that smiles even when he is mad! I love it!

Disneyland

These are just some of the highlights of our day at Disneyland. I have way to many photos that I want to share, but these will have to do for now. We enjoyed every minute of it and Oakley even got to go on all the rides with us. However I think him and Dakota liked the Tiki room. They both just stared at the birds that were singing. We all loved the parade and the fireworks show as well. We will have to make a return trip for sure!

Princess'

The princess' at Disneyland were a highlight for the kids. Dakota told us before we went that all she wanted to do was see the princess'. She was so excited that she could barely stand it. We were in line for forever and was it ever worth it just to see the smiles on the kids' faces. Dakota's favorite princess was Bell. She didn't get to meet her though. She just saw her in the parade. Oakley's favorite thing at all of Disney land was Snow White. I thought he was going to jump out of my arms to see her! James even got in on the fun!

Sea World

Our second day was spent traveling, except for a short visit to the beach. The beach was fun because the tide was coming in and Dakota kept running up the shore away from the waves. She giggled and squealed the whole time. Our third day we spent at Sea World. Belive it or not Dakota's favorite thing there was the Budwiser horses. I thought she would love the whales and dolphins, but she is a true farm girl and made a b-line right for the horses. Oakley's favorite thing was the penguins. James and I loved the Shamu show. It is amazing how those animals can do what they do. What an experience it would be to swim with them....however, I think it would be a little scary. Needless to say we all had a blast and loved being able to share such an experience with each other!

Dan and Debbie

Day one of our vacation was spent in Nounan Idaho visiting with James' family. We finally got to meet James' brother Daniel and his wife Debbie. James and I have been married two years now and I just barely got to meet the only part of his family I haven't met yet. It was great..they showed me some real southern hospitality depsite the fact that I am probably the biggest redneck woman that they have ever met. We had fun and look forward to visiting them in Alabama some day.

Good News

All right! Prayers are answered! We went out to Primary's and the doc there said that Oakley will be okay! He thinks that the bone will grow in on its own and that Oakley will be fine in a couple of months. We will take him in for another CT scan in April to make sure he is making progress and then go from there. Everything seemed to be alright though and the doc seemed to have a good positive outlook on the situation! Thanks everyone for keeping us in your prayers!

Good news and Bad news

Okay, so we took Oakley in for a CT scan last week because we thought he had a little problem with his head not growing correctly. The good news is that the plates of his skull are overlapped, but they are not fused. So he does not have craniosynostosis like we thought he did. The bad news is that underneath is cephalahemotoma (Massive lump on his head) his skull is missing. I guess this sort of thing is very rare, so we are headed to Primary Children's on Monday to see what needs to be done about it. I was pretty shocked when they called so quickly to set up an appointment. Oh well at least we will know what is going on. I am hoping that they will say, "Oh, it's nothing." and send us home. I guess we will see!

Wish us luck!
