Asha

Well she is not out of the woods yet, but they did release her from the hospital last night. When she got to Pocatello, the medical team there decided she wasn't as bad off as they had figured in Bear Lake. (Good news for us!) They decided that she had a cracked neck, some cracked ribs, and a broken pelvis. They sent her home with a walker and I don't think she will be going anywhere anytime soon. She is in quite a bit of pain! We are very blessed that things were not worse and are greatful that she is still with us!

Anniversary Shin-dig!

We all got together for Mom and Dad Bethers 40th wedding anniversary! James has a HUGE family, so everyone was not able to come....but we managed to get some great family pics without them. We stayed at Murrdocks Lodge ( if any of you Murrdocks happen to read this.....Thank you, thank you thank you!!!!) It is HUGE and accomidates James' HUGE family very nicely!

Keep in mind that my youngest child was extremly sick in all of these pics....but he was a good boy and played along with all my wild and crazy antics. Also.....please, please, please don't think I am the worlds worst parent for not having any clothes on my child or having him outside in the condition that he was in. We BOTH needed a break. He was so sick of having medicine crammed down him everytime he turned around and me.....well I was just sick of doing laundry after all the puke and poop! So despite all of the sickness....we had an awesome time!

(On a sad note....we got home only to find out that James' sister Asha got in a really bad wreck and was life flighted to Pocatello. So if you wouldn't mind keeping her in your prayers that would be great! Thanks!!!!!)

You know it's going to be a long day.......

When you see this.........

Actually it is turning out to be a verrrrry loooong going on five days now. I have been puked on....pooped on...and sleep deprived like nobody's business!!! Hopefully we have made it over the hump, but I will sure be glad when he is his sweet happy playful self!

You know your a redneck.......

(NOTICE THE ORANGE BAILING TWINE)

I just thought I would give you a little glimpse into my life. This is how we roll here and we aren't ashamed of it. I am sure our neighbors have uttered a few explicitives our way, and I am sure when they saw us coming their immediate thought was, " Well there goes the neighborhood!"

Do any of you do anything redneck or are we the only ones? Let me know!

Bullet the WonderDog and other Miscellaneous Pics

Intoducing......Bullet the Wonder Dog. Half Husky and half German Shepard. Gaurenteed to scare off all possible cats, rodents, and burglers! If you haven't clued in yet.....we got a new puupy!!!! Yeah for the kids...Not so yeah for me. Nothing says "mans best friend" like a chewed on shoe, towel, hat, blanket...stair...wall....etc! If you noticed it is the puppy from a couple of previous posts. The kids are so excited...they can barely contain it! Dakota won't let it off the lease....she drags it everywhere. (did I mention that she DRAGS it!) Every kid needs a puppy though right?

While we were up in Idaho, we got to help Blake out with his prom date with Rosa. We set him up a nice romantic, candle light, Subway dinner (their choice). Then we all took off for a while so they could eat without all the heckling and teasing that I am sure they would have endured had we stuck around. Don't they clean up nice?

"WARNING: Your brain is about to be over stimulated by a whole lot of pictures....do not go any further unless that is what you want, of course!"

Now to the other miscellaneous pics! These are just some random pics I thought you all might enjoy. Well really I just wanted to post them...so anyways, back to the pics. Some of them are pics of our place in Idaho and some are of the kids playing. Hope you enjoy!

Yes, he is NAKED and that is a pink purse!

I think I will title this one, "A Walk in Time." What do you think?

The Annual Midnight (Not really midnight) Easter Egg Hunt!

This was the ultimate Easter for us this year. I don't think the partying has stopped yet. It started out with us going and getting Dakota friday night. The next day we went to Grandma and Grandpa Boomers and played like crazy. They have 2 new litters of puppies and my cousin Jason brought another 8 week old puppy down from Canada for my mom. So all the kids mauled the puppies like crazy! Dakota was in Heaven!!!! Later that night we ate a ton of food (thanks to Joce) stuffed eggs and the adults went out and hid them. When we got back we got the kids bundled up and gave them all a bucket and flashlight. Then the hunt was on! We do this every year and have a blast! Easter is bigger then Christmas around here. Sunday morning we checked out our Easter baskets and then we all met up and Grandma and Grandpa Boomers house again for our traditional creamed eggs on toast breakfast! It was awesome! Later on that day we had to take Dakota back, so we loaded up and drove over the mountain. We had such a fun Easter and can't wait for next year! We are so blessed to have a wonderful brother that would give his life so that we may return to live with our Father in Heaven some day! That in it self is the most awesome Easter gift any of us as ever been given!

This is a little dark but it gives you somewhat of an idea to how many eggs were stuffed. There were eggs hidden in the trees and off the the right and left of this shot as well. Not to mention there was candy strewn all over the ground with the eggs.

This as we were laying down the rules and the boundaries. All the kids were so excited they couldn't keep still....so this is the best we could get for a pic of our two kids!

The Easter bunny came. The night before Dakota had to sprinkle some special Easter bunny grass outside so that the Easter bunny could find his way to our house. She was so excited to see that he had made it to our house. We ended up having to put everything up high though because Oakley was eating everything in sight!

This is how tired Dakota was after all the Easter hub-bub! We were all sitting outside talking and she crawled right up on the rack of the 4-wheeler and curled up in James' coat. How she didn't sweat to death is beyond me...it was hot out there. I only was out there for about and hour maybe two and I got so fried!

More of Oakley

With as cold and WINDY as it has been we have spent a lot of time indoors. On the rare occasion that it is nice outside we have managed to bundle up and venture outback for a short 4-wheeler ride. Anyways, here are some more pics of what Oakley was been up to....and if you want to know what I have been up to....well that one is pretty easy, because it involves me being at least a step or two behind whatever Oakley is doing.

Oakley and James doing one of their favorite things!

Oakley loves big boy underwear! He found these in the laundry I was folding and put them on all by himself. It was so cute! I couldn't not let him wear them. So he spent the day as Captian Underoo!

Oakley thinks he is such a big boy now. He crawls up on the chair and run the mouse and types on the keyboard just like Mommy and Daddy! He has done this sooooo much lately I have finally started closing the door to the office.

If this isn't a blackmail picture for when he is older.... ha ha ha!

And finally, Oakley's first goose egg. (This pic doesn't do it justice at all) It has gone down a ton. Right after he turfed it in the kitchen his lump was huge....I didn't know whether to take him to the hospital or stay at home. I called Joce and she told me to watch him and that he was probably fine. She was right! He was back to his normal self 2 minutes after it happened. The sad thing is we were at Sonja's house and he took a spill on the cement and has a rasberry on his chin. I bet people think I beat my child when they see him. James says we are going to have to get Oakley a helmet! If he keeps this up, it probably wouldn't hurt!!!
